Jackie Camacho-Ruiz’s love affair with books began when she started reading at an early age. Instead of fairy tales, Jackie was absorbing the wisdom of Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill and Zig Ziglar.
She wrote her first book in 2013, a memoir entitled The Fig Factor, which included a story about her first entrepreneurial experience selling figs as a child in Mexico. She wrote the book to leave a legacy for her two children after beating cancer. Her second book, The Little Book of Business Secrets that Work! would call her to embark on an incredibly successful journey as a multi-book author and speaker.
In 2014, after the foundation of Fig Factor Media, Jackie published the first volume of her anthology series called Today’s Inspired Latina, now planning its fifth installment. The series unites more than 100 Latina authors across three continents, with each contributing an inspiring chapter about their triumph over personal adversity.
Today Jackie Camacho-Ruiz is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, national speaker, philanthropist and an author of many books in both English and Spanish. Her books range from personal development and motivation to business and fiction, and she has helped over 100 people become authors since 2010 both nationally and internationally. She operates Fig Factor Media in coordination with a team of professionals who offer ghostwriting, graphic design and other publishing services.
Jackie is also proud to be the founder of The Fig Factor Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on unleashing the amazing in young Latinas to pursue their dreams. The Foundation program provides educational leadership platforms, mentorship and powerful experiences in their lives. Many of her book sales benefit the Fig Factor Foundation.
Between her philanthropic work and publishing business, Jackie also continues to serve as CEO of her marketing and public relations firm, JJR Marketing. She lives near Chicago with her husband and business partner Juan Pablo and their two children and is one of the few Latina sport pilots in the country.
