Jackie Camacho-Ruiz
Founder & CEO
Jacqueline Ruiz is an internationally known, award-winning entrepreneur and publishing magnate. She is considered a women storytelling pioneer and a champion of aviation and youth.
Jacqueline immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico City at the age of 14 and learned English in months. After surviving cancer twice, Jacqueline dedicated herself to inspiring and empowering others through her work. She founded the award-winning public relations firm JJR Marketing in 2006, followed by a publishing company, Fig Factor Media, in 2014. Jacqueline has authored more than 39 books and published more than 500 for authors across 34 countries, beginning in 2015 with Today’s Inspired Latina. The book was the first in a suite of Latina anthologies in which she has amassed the most extensive collection of Latina stories of adversity and inspiration over a several multi-volume series. Her published anthologies for leaders in the community include Latinas Rising Up in HR, Latinas in Construction, Latinas in Real Estate, Hispanic Star and dozens of others around the world.
Her work with Latina storytelling inspired the creation of the Fig Factor Foundation, a nonprofit development program for young Latinas ages 15-25. Through the Foundation, she has mentored more than 200 young Latinas towards their goals and recorded more than 200 TedX-style talks by young Latinas and seasoned professionals.
Jacqueline is among the 1% of Latina pilots in the county and promotes the aviation industry for Latinas through her multi-volume anthology series, Latinas in Aviation. The books contain personal and professional stories from Latinas in the aviation industry. The resulting organization, Latinas in Aviation, also supports aviation training for Latinas in the U.S. and South America. Jacqueline has partnered with two aviation museums to create permanent exhibits devoted to Latina aviators and has helped pioneer an aviation program at the College of DuPage, her alma mater.
Jacqueline’s penchant for marketing has led to the creation of products and brands relevant to her work. These include the Magix Board Game, the “Amazing” coffee brand, Today’s Inspired Latina board game, and the Latinas in Aviation teddy bears, which have been distributed worldwide by the thousands. She has received more than 80 honors from universities and organizations for her entrepreneurism, business acumen, and elevation of Latinas. When not at home with her husband and business partner, Juan Pablo Ruiz and her two children, Jacqueline travels the world giving countless keynote addresses and motivational talks in line with her life mission.
She has been featured in Forbes, INC, ABC 7, NBC 5, Despierta America, Telemundo, Univision and many others.
Jacqueline’s unique positioning lies at the intersection of:
